Oliver Charles Heider's Obituary
Oliver Charles Heider went to walk with Jesus on Thursday, March 19, 2009. Born July 7, 1924 in New Orleans.
Oliver was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jeannie Breaux Heider.
He is survived by daughters, Karel Heider Bacon of Covington and Lauren Heider Tribou of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Emmet Gonzales and Erin Gonzales of Covington, Robert Tribou and Stephen Tribou of Austin, TX and Randi Tribou Munns of San Antonio, TX.
Oliver proudly served in World War II seeing extensive action in the Pacific Theater as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Oliver was deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him considered him a friend. He will be sorely missed.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Saturday beginning at 12:00 noon until Mass time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to St. Tammany Parish Hospice.
