Olga Z. Wanko's Obituary
Olga Zapotichna Wanko passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at home with her family in Mandeville, LA. She was born on June 30, 1925 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Stephan Zapotichney and Anna Mandrona Zapotichney.
Olga was married to her beloved husband, the late Daniel Myron Wanko, Jr., for 58 years and together they had three sons, Gregory P. Wanko (Debra), the late Daniel S. Wanko Sr. (Barbara), and Dennis M. Wanko. She was the loving grandmother of Anna W. Villeret (Chase) and Joseph Wanko, Michele Broome (Craig), D. Steven Wanko, Jr. (Nicole), Chris Wanko (Debbie), and Mary Clement (Chris). She will be dearly missed by her 15 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 395 Lafitte St. Mandeville, LA 70448, on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley, AL at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in the name of Olga Z.
