Beloved wife of the late Norris James Neely, Sr. Mother of Noreen Montgomery Ribaul, Coleen Neely Davis and the late Norris “Rusty” James Neely, Jr. Mother-in-law of Jonathan O. Davis, Sr. and the late Joseph L. Ribaul, Jr. Proud Grandmother of John B. Montgomery, Jr., Stacey D. Montgomery, Jonathan “Bob” O. Davis, Jr.; his wife Jacqueline H. Davis, Adam N. Davis and Geoffrey N. Davis. Great-grandmother of Dylan M. Davis. Sister of Rosemary B. Herzog and the late Adam Bock and Herman Bock. Daughter of the late John Antonio Bock and Lillian Hooge Bock. Mrs. Neely is also survived by nieces, nephews and many loving extended family and friends.
Mrs. Neely was a graduate of McMain High School in New Orleans, LA. She was employed with Container Printing Ink, and retired from Nalco Chemical Company. Mrs. Neely served three terms on the Abita Springs Town Council and also serving as Mayor Pro-Tem. She served as president of the St. Tammany Municipal Association, and was active in the local and state level of AARP. She served on the St. Tammany Council on Ageing Governing Board. She was the past president of the Abita Springs Senior Citizens, the Abita Springs Garden Club, Country Road Home Makers Club, and Ladies’ Progressive Club of Abita Springs. Mrs. Neely was the founder of The Red Hated Belles of Abita Springs. She was the 1998 Abita Springs Citizen of The Year. Mrs. Neely enjoyed tutoring with the Louisiana Literacy Program. She was a former member of the Gentilly Presbyterian Church in New Orleans for many years; and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Covington until the time of her death.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Services on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 3:30 PM from First United Methodist Church of Covington, 203 N. Jefferson St., Covington, LA 70433.
Private interment in Lake Lawn Metairie Mausoleum. Visitation on Tuesday at the church from 3:00 PM until service time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of St. Tammany or First United Methodist Church of Covington.
