Ola Taylor Fussell's Obituary
Ola Taylor Fussell passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Covington, LA. She was born on October 8, 1924 in Covington, LA to the late Jessie Taylor and Rebecca Tisdale Taylor.
Ola was married to her beloved husband, the late Edward Fussell, for 50 years. She was the loving mother of Eddie Fussell (Vicki) and Donnie Booth (Louis). Ola was the proud grandmother of Chad Booth (Rachell), Ashley Norse (Ron), Brad Fussell (Catherine), and Will Fussell (Meg); great-grandmother of Samantha, Hunter, and Delaney Booth, Hudson, Emma, and Ali Norse, Molly, Castin, and the late Taylor Fussell. Ola was the sister of Ouida Talley, Laverne Talley, Carolyn Cox, Jessie Taylor, Jr., the late Gladys Booth, Titus Taylor, and Coleman Taylor.
Ola was known for her love of home cooking and gardening. She was a long-time employee of Poole Lumber Company.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Forest Manor Nursing Home for the love and gentle care they gave Mrs. Ola for the seven years that she was a resident there.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at Fitzgerald United Methodist Church, 80007 Fitzgerald Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435 on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:30 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Simalusa Cemetery, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, and the Fitzgerald United Methodist Church Food Ministry, (985) 892-3181.
