Norma Krebs O'Hara's Obituary
Norma Krebs O’Hara passed away at home in Covington, LA on Friday September 24, 2021 at the age of 87. She was the beloved mother of Jean B. Pujol (Linda), Joseph M. Pujol (Judy), Jeanne P. Figueroa Ahart (Trace), Jeffrey M. Pujol (Becky), Janice P. Ogden (Phil), and John J. Pujol who predeceased her. Beloved grandmother of Russell (Kim), Matthew (Annie), Shannon, Daniel, Heather (Dean), Melissa, Jaime, Jennifer (Ross), Lindsey (Sergey), Jessica (Mohamed), Jill, Erica (Chuck), Brittany, Wayne (Brandi), Rebecca (Ryan), Matthew, Megan, Wesley (Emerite), Garrett (Rebecca), Ashley (Thomas), Katie (Alexis), and Erin (Kevin). Proud great-grandmother of Koral, Lilly, Aiden, Dakota, Sofia, Carmen, Mattie, Harley, Russell, Mac, Jeanne, Jesse, Skyler, Cruz, Charles, Zowie, Jada, Stella, Abbygayl, Prince, Delylah, Charleigh, Ryan, Reed, Ripp, Ross, Johny, Harrison, Elliot, Justin, Aiden, Julia, Logan, Olivia, Julian, Benson and Logan who predeceased her.
Norma was preceded in death by her husbands Jean B. Pujol, Sr. and John J. O’Hara, her parents Alcee Louis Krebs and Leita Carmelite Gardner Krebs, and her sisters Velma, Winnie, Rose, Louise and Ann.
Norma was a devoted, loving mother who tirelessly worked two jobs (Mercy Hospital and the New Orleans Civil Sheriff's Office) to care for her six children following the death of their father. She enjoyed many years as a Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeder, and she was a gifted artist who loved sketching and painting pictures for her family and friends. She also loved to cook for her family and prepare their favorite dishes for them, as well as bake pies and make candy for the holidays. She was an doting, loving grandmother who took great pleasure in teaching her grandchildren the joys of farm life including caring for horses, planting gardens, building fences, picking blueberries, raising chickens, and many other purely fun activities. She delighted in spending time playing with her great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Church 125 East 19th Avenue Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM with visitation on Thursday beginning 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will take place on Friday, October 1, 2021, 10:00 AM at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70443.
