Fond memories of a dear sister , remembering how glamorous Nora always looked and the correspondance we shared when I was a young girl. Fond memories forever , Sandra and Howard , Michael , Andrew , Daniel and Benn
Michael, it was so difficult saying goodbye to you and Nora in the hotel in Manchester in October. Thank goodness we were able to see Nora one last time. Your journeys "back home" have brought us so much pleasure. The first I remember in the early 1960's when I was about 10, was at Doncaster railway station. We gathered round a roaring fire in winter and Nora entertained us ( and I think several nearby strangers!)with many stories. I also remember all the beautifully written letters Nora wrote to our father, which he delighted in sharing with us. Nora had a long and eventful life - quite a journey for a lass from Yorkshire. We will remember her with love and affection. We are thinking of you Michael. All our love from Barry, Linda and nephews Matthew and Jonathan
Our Love and Sympathy to Michael, Family and Freinds. Bless you Nora now at peace and pain free, so many happy memories we treasure of our times together most recently in October 2009 your smile lit up the room. To very special Lady Good Night and sleep well our Love always Paul Sylvia Adam and Wayne xxxx
Nora and I go back as friends at least 65 years and I still remember even at school how lovely she was and how elegant I so wanted to be like her. Nora was still as lovely this year at the Golden wedding anniversary we celebrated with her and Michael. You will not be forgotten.
Michael, You know my love and support are with you.
We will miss Nora tremendously.
Whenever I drink a cup of tea I think of Nora -- "roughing it" was having to drink tea in a styrofoam cup.
Love, Kathleen
Michael, when Herbert and I first joined the Caledonian Society we realized that you and Nora were very special people and knowing you both through the years has been a delightful experience. She was so beautiful - both inside and out - that one could never forget her. We have missed seeing you two since we moved to the coast, but always enjoyed the times we got together for a"wee dram" or a meal. I look forward to the gathering in her memory.

When I came to Scottish Dance Nora was teaching. She taught more than the steps or figures and I was blessed to have had this experience.
