What an incredible angel of God. Mrs Nickie was beautiful both inside and out. I have so many childhood memories with the Burns family. One of my favorite times was when my son was in the hospital at the same time as Mrs Nickie. I went to visit late at night and to hopefully encourage Mrs Nickie, she was so uplifting that she encouraged me instead even as she was going through a painful procedure. True love and compassion for others. Heaven has a true angel living on the streets of Gold in the hands of Jesus.
I was Mrs Nickie's home health nurse. She was so sweet and I loved my short time with her. She always had a big smile. I am sure she is up in heaven with her Mom, maybe eating some of the great food she said her mom created. May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time of sorrow.
I remember going to her house after school. She and her mom watched me while my mom worked. She would always have cookies for me, and not let me go out to ride my bike with Theresa until I finished my homework. It's weird but I sometimes have dreams of Schnell Drive and the families that lived there with us. Now it is just a wonderful memory. There is almost no Schnell drive left.
