Nicholas Edward "Cricket" Shoultz's Obituary
Nicholas Edward “Cricket” Shoultz passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 29. Nick was born in Marrero, Louisiana on December 31, 1996 to Tom and Jodi Thompson Shoultz.
Nick is survived by his parents, Tom and Jodi; siblings, Jacob and Chloe, grandparents, Barry and Ellouise Thompson and Ellen Shoultz. He is also survived by uncles and aunts, Brad and Sarah Thompson; Janie Shoultz Jenkins; Bill Shoultz; Bob and Vivian Shoultz and numerous cousins.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather, James “Jimmy” Shoultz and uncles, David Thompson and Craig Jenkins; great grandparents George and Mary Alice Bennett, Hezzie and Rita Thompson, Lucille Thompson (Hezzie), James and Ida Gottschalk Shoultz and Sidney and Alma Loyd Smith.
Nick was loving and compassionate. He loved spending time with his family, friends and special pup Mingo.
Though he left us way too soon Nick made the most of each day he had. He made sure to spend time with those he loved and delighted in cooking up his favorite dishes for them to enjoy. While we know he is now in the arms of Jesus, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Our Cricket will be remembered always and loved eternally. Praise the Lord we will see him again in Heaven one sweet day.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at First Baptist Church of Folsom, 13320 Broadway Street, Folsom, Louisiana on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will take place following the service at the church cemetery.
