Nellie Hunt Ledet's Obituary
Nell Hunt Ledet, a native of Washington Parish and resident of Covington, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on January 19, 1946.
Nell dedicated many years of service to Citizens Savings Bank, but her true legacy was built at home, where she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Cindi Perry, Tami Perry, Lynn Mizell, and Laura Ledet. Her spirit lives on through her grandchildren, Brad Young, Chris and Lexie Cotton, Ella Perry, Abby Perry, and Remi Mizell; and her great-grandchildren, Eli, Perry, Delilah, Haedon, Lukas, and Riley. Nell will also be lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law, Charles Foster and sister-in-law, Mary Hunt.
Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Ledet; her parents, William Edgar Hunt and Ether Idonia McNeese Hunt; her brother, Quincy Hunt; and her beloved sisters, Mae Stewart, Mavis Whittington, Avis Liberatore, Grace Mask, Eloise Russell, Wilda Phillips, Sylvia Lambert, and Judy Foster.
In accordance with Nell’s wishes, the family will hold a private burial at Saint Joseph’s Abbey.
