Our deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved our Aunt Nellie. We are sorry that we were unable to attend her services. Our mom (Aunt Lena) has had several spells lately so we have stayed close by. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the family.

I was saddened to hear of Nellie Mae's passing. My late husband, Jimmie Jeansonne, loved his cousin dearly & often told of all the fun they had as children. We shared her & Everett's hospitality more than once & enjoyed being with them each time. I know they are rejoicing in heaven to have such a grand person to join them. Love, MaryAnn

On behalf of your cousins in Central and North La., as well as Texas, I send our condolences... thoughts and prayers. It was a delight to re-meet cousin Nellie Mae during the Worlds Fair (1984) when my parents, Heuiette and Elaine, uncles/aunts, and I accepted her (and Everett's) wonderful hospitality. Everytime I come across the "BBQ Shrimp" recipe, I remember her!
I can't help but feel that my life has been enriched by you having been in it. The memory of you,Terry and myself playing music at your house always brings a smile to my heart. You will be forever loved and sadly missed, as my friend. Love always till we meet again for the rest of our music session in that home eternal,not made by hands.
