Nathaniel (Nate) David Gauthier's Obituary
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of Nathaniel (Nate) David Gauthier who was a much beloved husband, father, son, grandson, brother, nephew and a dear and most caring friend to many.
Nate passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, in Bush, Louisiana. He was born on November 15, 1985, in Houston, Texas, to Lonny Richard Gauthier and Linda Leal Currie both of Cypress, Texas. Nate was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Lonny and Jesselyn Gauthier.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 15 years Kari Francis O’Brien and his son, Cameron Michael Gauthier both of whom he was tremendously devoted to. Other survivors include his father Lonny and his stepmother, Cynthia, and his mother Linda Currie and his stepfather, Rodney. Also surviving him are his maternal grandparents Manuel and Wanda Leal, who we all love. Two sisters survive Nate: Jessica Butcher (Jared), their two children Ava Hannah and Jayde Butcher, and Janelle Gauthier and his nephew Jared McKinney with whom he enjoyed spending his school holidays or vacations. Nate was considered a son to his in-laws, Stephen and Kim Seither (Bush, La) and David and Nancy Withrow-O’Brien (Cypress, Texas).
Nate enjoyed taking walks with his other “son” Hoffa, his beloved Husky. Nate will be remembered mostly for his giving and caring nature to many numerous friends. But most of all, he will be remembered for his exceptional cooking skills and being a responsible person that earned him an Assistant Manager’s job at Buster’s Place Restaurant.
It is the Buster’s crew whom he also treated as family. Special mention goes to Stephen Lyon for being there for Nate and our family.
