ROT IN HELL YELLOW STAIN!
Bart and I served together in 1/9 on Okinawa, where he was my Company Commander, and with 1/1 in Vietnam where he was the S-2. Bart were a good, strong leader...a Combat Marine! In April of 2016, I will return to Vietnam and Hill 37 and pause to remember Him and Ong Canh, his beloved Kit Carson Scout...it was a blessing to have served with them both...

My dear brother we all but missed each other in life. Your passing has no effect on my love for you. Thank you for the kindness you showed me as a baby where I hold dear the short time you Daddy and I played.
Uncle Bart- I will always remember you at those big lobster dinner parties in East Hampton....you were always the life of the party!
I will miss you, Devil Dog. I've had a hollow heart since I heard the news. Breathe, Aim, Squeeze, Brother, and, as ever, I remain Semper Fi.
Gina, Dodd and Landon, this comes with my deepest affection and condolences. Letter to follow.
With love,
Lanny
Bart, thank you for being the big scary guy in the ring that a teenager had to test himself again. You helped many of us take those first steps into bravery.
To the family of Bart:
I am shocked and saddened by the passing of your Dad/husband. Bart and I were sweethearts in Middle School in Greenwich, CT, and had recently reconnected after 55 years. We emailed back and forth to catch up and laughed online about the old days. Please accept my very heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I knew him as a 12-year-old and early teenager along with his sister, Debbie, and his parents who I adored. May he rest in peace. With much love to all .... "muffy" (Virginia Dean)
Bart was also a dedicated kobudo man who touched our lives with his heart. Our entire organization sends their thoughts and prayers......Rest in peace, Bart Loomis...You will never be forgotten by the members of the IKKF.

Gina and family,
Rick and I would like to send our sincerest condolences. We will definitely miss him! Our neighborhood will not ever be the same! He was a leader, a fighter and a dear friend. I still remember how he rallied all of us after Katrina to take care everyone in the neighborhood. Bart was a very, very special person. Although we will not be able to attend the services, be assured that we will be thinking of you all and will be raising a glass in a toast to his remarkable life!
Take care,
