Myrna Goldate Cooper's Obituary
Myrna Goldate Cooper passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at 1:12 p.m. in the afternoon surrounded by her family.
Myrna was the beloved wife of 57 years to Philip Robert “Bob” Cooper of Covington.
Myrna Anne Goldate was born in Madisonville, Louisiana on August 9, 1934 to Oscar Peter Goldate and Georgie Gentlucci Goldate. She was the sister of Avis Goldate Bourgeois of Madisonville and the late Claude “Jim” Goldate, Oscar “Bud” Goldate, Kenneth Goldate, Lyle Goldate, George Goldate, Elsie Goldate Ostendorf and Bernard T. Goldate.
She is survived by her children Robert W. Cooper, daughter-in-law Dorothy Cooper, Jeffrey R. Cooper, Lesley Cooper Beyl, son-in-law John R. Beyl, Jeanne Cooper Frost, son-in-law Robert M. Frost and Kenneth A. Cooper, daughter-in-law Priscilla Riley Cooper.
She was a loving grandmother to Sage C. Accordo, Rye Cooper, Graham Cooper, Michael Cooper, Lindsey Cooper, Emily Cooper, Joshua Cooper, Sarah Cooper, Camille C. Lawson, Amanda B. Powell, Lauren B. Lachney, Jacob Frost, Elise Frost and Caleb Frost, Kace Cooper, Kyle Cooper, Kody Cooper and Beth Cooper.
She was also blessed with 14 great grandchildren.
Myrna retired after 28 years with St. Peter School where she was loved and respected. She touched so many lives with a gentleness that will not be forgotten.
Visitation will be at St. Peter Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2009. A
Mass will follow at 12:00 Noon with Christian burial at St. Joseph Abbey, St. Benedict, Louisiana.
