Muriel Rita Durbin's Obituary
Muriel Rita “Mitzie” Durbin passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Beloved mother of Cathy D. Mutter (Gary), Sandra D. Burch (Henry), Kim D. Collins (Hank), Dale Charles Durbin (Bridget) and Wade Michael Durbin; loving grandmother to Shannon, Brandi, Shane, Christopher, Troy, Desiree, Melissa and Jonathan; loving great-grandmother to Rylee, Ella, Sebastian, Andrus Mac and Savannah; sister of Frederick Stromeyer, Jr. (Lois) and Elroy Stromeyer (Gloria); and sister-in-law to Elaine Stromeyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Durbin, Jr.; her mother, Ita Messmer Stromeyer; her father, Frederick William Stromeyer; and a brother, Melville Stromeyer.
Age 86 years, she was native of Metairie, LA and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past 27 years. The family would like to thank Mitzie's caretaker, Beverly Carter.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
