Monica Lynn Topee's Obituary
Monica Lynn Topee passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020. She was born on December 17, 1986 in Darjeeling, India.
Monica is survived by her children Skylar Topee and Maddison Shaw and her parents Matthew and Onita Topee. She is also survived by her brother Karl Topee, and his partner Jody Dyer, of Richmond, VA. She leaves behind her many special friends, including Donald (Red) Brown of Grass Valley, CA, Jessica Stanard, Daniel Barton, Amanda Smith-Walker, of Richmond, VA, along with Joshua Shaw of Covington, LA and his family. The family would like to thank Rachel Shaw for her compassion and support during this difficult time.
Monica came to be with her adoptive family at the age of nineteen months and brought joy and delight into our lives. She grew up in Richmond, Virginia where she graduated from Monacan High School. She worked for many years in the restaurant business as a server. Following the birth of her children, she attended North Shore Technical College in Hammond, LA where she majored in Computer Technology. Her illness eventually interrupted her studies. Monica was a beautiful, generous, sweet, and loving woman who was loved by all who knew her. She has left us with many special memories which we will hold in our hearts forever.
Services are pending and will be held in Richmond, VA at a later date.
