To: David, James & Louis. We are so sorry to hear of Mildred's death. She was our teacher at Port Allen High School in the 50's. We all loved her. I kept in touch with her even after she moved into the nursing home. She loved recieving our little notes and we all loved hearing from her. Our prayers and sympathy goes out to all of her family. I knew Ms Mc Arthur when we lived in Hammond, LA and I worked for A G Edwards. She was always so much fun to talk with. I even visited her at her home. Our prayers are with her family as she was a special lady. Always Launo and John Moore
I first knew Mildred as one of the teachers at Southeastern. Later, after I had graduated, I knew her as a member of AAUW and through working at the Special Education Clinic at Southeastern. During the past years I have visited her at the nursing home. She helped me through the loss of my first husband, and rejoiced with me on my subsequent marriage. She was a dear friend and I will miss her.
Lou, I'm sorry to hear about you Mama. She was a true lady of strong convictions. I alway s enjoyed visiting with Mama and Daddy.
