Mildred Heartsfield Dunleavy's Obituary
Mildred Heartsfield Dunleavy passed away on Monday, April 20, 2009. She was born April 6, 1923 in Jacksonville, FL where she lived until 1970 when she moved to Monticello, FL. She resided in Monticello until 2002 and then moved to Mandeville, LA.
Her parents, Robert Lee and Myrtle Cook Heartsfield; as well as two brothers, Donald Heartsfield and Robert Lee, Jr. preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Robert Dunleavy and his fiancée Deborah Knorr of Mandeville as well as her dog “Dexter”.
Mildred was a Registered Nurse, earning her license from St. Jude Hospital in Jacksonville in 1943. She worked in the medical industry until her retirement in 1990. She loved animals, nature, bird watching reading and gardening.
Committal services will be held at the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
