Michael James Schultz's Obituary
Michael J. Schultz passed away on June 15, 2018 at Brookdale Memory Care, Mandeville, Louisiana at age 79.
Mike served in the Navy aboard the USS Shenandoah, Sixth Fleet from 1957 and honorably discharged in 1960. Mike was hired to the Toledo Fire Department in 1967 and retired in 1990.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Martha Schultz.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Cathy Schultz (Yancy), daughter Julie Schultz (Lorna Braud) of Mandeville, LA. Son Michael J Schultz (Kimberly) of Covington, Louisiana. Granddaughters Nicole Borkowski, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sydney Schultz, Samantha Schultz Covington, Louisiana, step granddaughters Amanda Braud, Mandeville, Louisiana, Nicole Braud Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Visitation will be Monday, June 18th from 4:00 until 7:00pm with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
Last alarm service and final resting place will be in Toledo, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation or Passages Hospice.
