I'm so sorry for your family's loss. God promises to be close to the brokenhearted. PS 34:18. I hope you find comfort in God's promise & in the many wonderful memories you made & shared together. You have my condolences.
Mike was a gifted man .The best center I've ever seen in high school football. I think music was his gift...so many good Tara memories. Prayers for all his family and friends and classmates, the best days at Tara.
Mike was a classmate and teammate at Tara High in Baton Rouge in 1971 and that team had so much talent that Mike and four others signed to play football for the LSU Tigers in one year. I remembered seeing him and Murray and Jim Hogg perform as the River City Good Times band in BR. He was a fellow believer and was able to lead others to salvation in Christ Jesus thru his witness and by his example. I once worked at a sheltered workshop and I asked Mike to play Christmas music for these persons with developmental disabilities and he was glad to do it and they were all appreciative and enjoyed it so much. My regrets to the family. My prayers to you and to the day we see Mike again in Heaven.
I'll always remember that sweet man who carried a bible so worn, so read and so studied that he recovered it with a thick durable leather hide. We will miss that Christian Man and we will rejoice for his new home. Father, please hold Jackie and all of the family in your loving arms. Bring them all peace, and may others come to know You from the witness of this man's walk. In Jesus Name.

I am so sorry Jackie to hear this. I am praying extra hard for you. Big hugs to you. Tamie from Quincy Florida.
I first met Mike in Brookstone when we first moved into the subdivision. Mike and I served on the board of Brookstone together. Mike was a kind and wonderful person to know and talk with. Mike and I had many conversations over several year and I really liked him. He was a true gentleman and kind person. The world has lost a truly great human being. I will always remember Mike. We are so sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age.
Regards and Prayers
