When I was a little girl, I remember my Mother telling me and my sisters how special we were. She explained to us, she and my Dad had picked out Christy to be our sister. They adopted her. When Christy was six months old, Mom found out she was having Darlene, then she had me, and Nadine was last. Christy was a fun adopted sister. Mom taught us to take care of each other and love each other. I was so excited that out of all of my friends, I was the only one with an adopted sister. I used to brag about it.
As an adult, I used to love it when people would tell me how much I looked like Christy. I would always say, “She was the sweet sister.” Christy was a great Mother and Mike was an outstanding Dad. Sean and Sheri turned out to be successful, wonderful adults.
I remember after my open heart surgery in December, 2019, Mike would drive me to my doctor’s appointments in his Porsche. What a sweet brother-in-law.
I will keep them in my heart until I see them again in heaven. Love, Rose Rita
