Michael George Bodron's Obituary
Michael George Bodron passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, April 9, 2023. Michael was born on July 28,1948 to the late George and Patricia Bodron. He attended St Paul's High School in Covington, LA and went on to graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. He served in the U S Air Force where he was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for his service in Vietnam. After being discharged from the service, he earned his master’s degree in Microbiology from Southeastern Louisiana University and later earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He worked for Quest Diagnostics in the National and International Accounts Department for over 30 years. After retirement, he indulged in many hobbies, including golf and horticulture, but more importantly spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Michael was affectionately known as “Pops” and adored his four grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Deborah Doolittle Bodron, his son, Michael Bodron, daughter-in-law Sally Burrows Bodron and his four grandchildren, Michael, Adaline, Eleanor and William. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Bodron.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 29th 3pm at Michael and Sally’s home, 63 Magnolia Ridge Drive, Madisonville, LA 70447.
E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. A private burial was held on Friday, April 14th.
