Merlin Patrick "Sonny" Landry's Obituary
Merlin Patrick “Sonny” Landry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 surrounded by family at his home in Covington, LA. He was born on April 30, 1954 in New Orleans, LA to the late Merlin Joseph Landry and Bonnie Rodrigue Landry.
Sonny is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Thibodeaux Landry. He was the loving father of David P. Landry and Debra L. Overstreet (Joshua). Sonny was the brother of Jeanne L. Clement (Marvin), the late Ronald Landry and Kenneth Landry. He will be sadly missed by all of his friends, nieces, nephews, and family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Graveside Service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. Visitation will take place at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 from 1:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
