Melba "Dean" Dufrene Crochet's Obituary
Melba “Dean” Dufrene Crochet passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was born in Raceland, Louisiana on October 16, 1932.
She is survived by her loving children, Suzanne Fasic, Larry Crochet (Debbie), Ken Crochet (Jennifer), and Matthew Crochet (Gracia); her grandchildren, Lauren Cantrell (Brad), Melissa Fasic, Lindsay Fasic (Manny), Jessica Crochet (Adam), Alison Crochet (Brad), Ashli Tallo (Kaleigh), Megan Tallo; and great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Evelyn, Sophia, Rocco, and Jackson. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence Charles Crochet; and her parents, Dalmas and Cecile Dufrene; her son-in-law, Derek Fasic; her brothers, Roland, Jimmie, and Ronald and her great-grandson, Knight.
She was a longtime resident of Harahan before moving to the north shore in 2008.She enjoyed cooking, eating, traveling, and playing bingo. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Monday, September 25,2023, at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at noon. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
