My name is Bob Schoen and I lived in Germany for a while. I asked my Aunt Miriam Stokes how I might contact our German relatives. She told me to get in touch with Aunt Meda. She sit me straight. I was dear friends with Helmut, Clair, and Peter Schon(no umlaut here). There daughter Inga was killed in an auto accident just before I arrived in Germany. They adopted Peter three weeks before I returned to the states.
My loving Aunt Meda taught me generosity and joy. She had a loving spirit which effortlessly recognized the beauty in others and delighted in life. I hold her memory close to my heart as she leaves this world.
Dear Joan & Mary: we have wonderful memories of Meda and the association we had through the St Tammany Historical Society. We worked many a night at her house editing the cookbook and eating her great blueberry pie. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She'll be missed my many. Media was and still is a shining example of grace,selflessness, and a love of life that I will cherish for years to cone. She will be remembered with big smiles and warm hearts. Mom (Isabelle King) and Media worked together, and I always loved seeing her smile.
Meda Koepp was a gracious lady who welcomed me to Covington. At one time, she was my patient. I appreciated her presence on this Earth and how much she contributed to this community. She will be sorely missed. She touched many lives. <3
