Maybell Fetter Vogel's Obituary
Maybell Fetter Vogel died on April 10, 2019. She was born in New Orleans on November 29, 1926. Maybell will now join her beloved husband Lionel “Peck” Vogel who predeceased her and departed this life way too early. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Kepler Fetter and sister of Dorothy Rotolo (currently residing in South Carolina), the late Joseph Fetter, Jr. and Victor Fetter.
She is survived by her beloved 3 children, Eileen Woodward (Lynn “Woody”),
Lionel “Peck” Vogel (Debbie) and Pauline “Minnie” Amend (Jerry); 7 Grandchildren, Jennifer Fradella, Stephen Woodward, Randy Schulz, Nick Vogel, Chelly Lozes, Jerry Amend and Daniel Amend; and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Maybell lived in Arabi, Louisiana for 50+ years pre-Katrina. She was faced with and overcame many obstacles in her lifetime including a series of moves post-Katrina. She happily resided in Denham Springs with her daughter, Eileen, and son-in-law Woody, Azalea Estates in Slidell and Summerfield of Hammond for periods of time. She was always willing to take on the challenge and quick to adjust. She made many friends along the way. However, she always loved and considered St. Bernard Parish her home.
She was fiercely independent, feisty and tenacious. She was always busy enjoying her many hobbies using her clever and creative talents. She will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Interment will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery #3, New Orleans, Louisiana.
