Mavis Magee Spell's Obituary
Mavis Louise Magee Spell passed away peacefully on August 14, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 22, 1931 in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Ocie and H. O'Banion Magee and spent most of her life in Covington, LA. She was a devout Christian and a devoted wife and mother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was an avid gardener and loyal friend.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband - Julius G. Spell; her baby girl - Judy G. Spell; two brothers; and five sisters. She is survived by her three sons - Terry O. Spell, R. Glen Spell D.D.S and Todd L. Spell; two daughters-in-law, Karen L. Spell and Mary S. Spell; and four grandchildren - Meghan, Cali, Daniel, and Payton. She is also survived by two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at Shepherd's Care Ministries, 20115 Highway 1081 Covington, LA 70435 from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM with funeral services immediately following.
Interment will be held at Shepherd's Fold Cemetery, 79236 Highway 40 Covington, LA 70435.
