Aunt Mavis was a friend from the first day we met. She had a wonderful way about making you feel loved and special. Her laugh was infectious and shared often. You will be missed, dear lady! We loved you very much and thank you for all of your loving support and kindness along the way.

My heart is heavy knowing that we lost such a beautiful woman, but I am comforted that she is now at peace and with my grandma again. Aunt Mavis was like a grandmother to me and her memory and love will remain with me always. Hugs and prayers to my extended family.

Aunt Mavis and my mother will always be inextricably linked in my mind as they faced their mutual health problems with courage, optimism, and most of all humor. She was a joy to be around my whole life and is sorely missed by her Texas family.
