Maureen Turner Ross, age 74, was born in Fall River, MA and resided in New Orleans and Folsom/Covington for the past 64 years.She was called to her heavenly rest at her home surrounded by family.
Beloved wife of Pastor Grant Ross for the past 41 years. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Arthur and Rita Turner and her daughter, Sarah Giardina Sauro. Survived by her son Sean Ross and spouse Joy and their children: Madyson and Brooklyn; her son-in-law Vincent Sauro and children: Shelli and Hayli of Lafayette; her brothers: Robert Turner and spouse Alpha Lee of Houston, TX and Arthur (Snookie) Turner and spouse Tana of Ponchatoula.
She was an active member of New Life Lutheran church, Clown Ministry, and signing Christian songs that her husband sang in church and special occasions.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 N. Marigold Dr., Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Emeritus Raymond Scheer officiating. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial donations to New Life Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1617, Folsom, LA 70437 in Maureen’s name.
