Mary Jo Wibel Todaro's Obituary
Mary Jo Wibel Todaro of Ponchatoula, LA, at the age of 66, peacefully entered eternal rest on October 8, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 11, 1954, in New Orleans, LA and spent 40 years as a resident of Marrero, LA.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Nadine (Usner) Lee Wibel and her father, David O. Wibel, her brother David O. Wibel Jr and her mother-in-law, Clara Todaro.
She is survived by her soulmate and beloved husband of 47 years, Vincent Todaro Jr. She was the proud mother of three children: Vincent Todaro, wife Dixie, Michelle Nobles, husband Brad, and Michaela Todaro. She was the loving Mimi to her six grandchildren: Kayleigh, Jace, and Joshua Nobles and Megan, Samantha, and Drew Todaro. She was the caring sister of Michael Wibel (Bonnie), Joann Sears, Diane Champagne, John Wibel and Thomas Wibel. She was the daughter-in-law of Vincent Todaro (Leah) and the late Clara Todaro. She was the adoring sister-in-law of Virginia Sanderson (Terry), Ruth Hunter Todaro (Jake), Charlie Todaro (Felicia), Margaret Zimmerman (Ricky), Monica Todaro, and Francis Dufrene (Mark). She was loved by her many nieces and nephews.
Mary Jo loved to cook, clean, decorate, shop on QVC, and dance with Vincent to their favorite song, “Rockin’ Robin.” Her hobbies included taking care of her family, making puzzles, decorating her Christmas tree, and wrapping presents. She loved sitting outside admiring her plants and bird watching. She also loved going to the beach and enjoyed marine life. Her favorite hobby was watching her daughters and granddaughters dance. She lived each day in strength and will be dearly missed by all. A special thank you to Dr. Anna Pou and Dr. Genevieve Maronge for their support and care during her journey. We especially thank all family, friends, and neighbors for their love and support. We promise to live each day in strength and honor her legacy in all we do.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home located at 2260 W. 21st Street, Covington, LA.
