Mary T. Lindsey's Obituary
Mary T. Lindsey, age 81, of Madisonville, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Lawrence V. “Larry” Lindsey; children, Michele Lindsey Richissin (Fred), Kim Lindsey Glover (Jeff), Gina Lindsey (Michelle), and Trey Lindsey; grandchildren, Bailey Glover, Avery Glover Snyder (Dalton), Evan Dauterive, and Lindsey Dauterive. She is also survived by her siblings, Emily Efferson, Gerald Rye, and Janine Guidry; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Callender and Mary Thonn; and siblings, Elizabeth Callender and John Callender, Jr.
Mary grew up in New Orleans, attended St. Raphael Catholic School, and graduated from St. Joseph Academy. She was married to the love of her life, Larry V. Lindsey, on November 3, 1962. Mary worked as a florist at Farley’s Florist in New Orleans before she and Larry relocated to the Northshore in the 1990s. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family and particularly loved the Christmas Season. She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Covington, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, church family, and community.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in the adjacent Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
