Mary Lee Lemann Dalferes' Obituary
Mary Lee Lemann Dalferes passed away on October 4, 2009. A resident of Covington since 1976, she was born October 20, 1920 in Donaldsonville, LA to the late Arthur A., Sr. and Mary Lee Landry Lemann.
She was a graduate of Newcomb College class of 1940 with a B.S. in Mathematics. During her early years, she taught math and dancing. She formerly resided in New Orleans, Caracas, Mobile and Houston before moving to Covington in 1976.
The beloved wife of Joseph Lee Dalferes, Jr. for 67 years, she is survived by two sons, Joseph L., III “Dal” and James G. Dalferes; two daughters, Donna D. MacGregor and Denise G. Dalferes; seven grandchildren: Joseph, Craig, Gene and Thomas Dalferes, Molly, Cecile and Robert MacGregor; two great-grandsons, Charles and Joseph Dalferes. She was preceded in death by her sister, Harriet Lemann and two brothers, Arthur, Jr. and Charles Lemann.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 9, 2009 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin at 12:00 Noon.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens will follow mass.
