Mary Kaye Pittman Tate's Obituary
Mary Kaye Pittman Tate, age 67, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. She was born on June 4, 1959, in Jefferson, Louisiana.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Robert D. Tate; sisters, Terry Pittman Hitchcock (Scott) and Shelley Pittman Lampard; nieces and nephews, George Lampard (Molly), Erin Hitchcock, and Brett Hitchcock (Kristen); and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel Joseph Pittman and Dana Earline Phelps Pittman.
Mary Kaye attended St. Michael’s Special School in New Orleans and worked for many years as a busgirl at Ralph and Kacoo’s Restaurant on Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. She later relocated to the Northshore where she resided for over 20 years.
Mary Kaye will be remembered for her passion for New Orleans Saints Football and all Cajun Cuisine, especially King Cake.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Mandeville, 1895 Highway 190, Mandeville, Louisiana at 10:00 AM.
