Mary Jane Champagne Gennusa's Obituary
Mary Jane Champagne Gennusa passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born on September 10, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to the late Ike Champagne and Winnie Davis Champagne.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Frank Ralph Gennusa, Sr. She was the loving mother of Duke Gennusa (Nona), Tony Gennusa (Kim Stein), Jared Gennusa, and Jodi Gennusa. Mary was the proud grandmother of Jesse Gennusa, Alexis Dill, Ashley Parks, and Zachary Gennusa; great-grandmother of Hadley Claire and Laney Jane. She was the sister of Sue Laird and Ivy Champagne. Mary also leaves behind her precious dog, Pookie.
Mary loved unconditionally. She was a doting child, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an excellent cook and prepared every meal with love and care. She will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time.
