Mary Jane and Lemuel McCoy's Obituary
On New Year’s Eve 2020 Mary Jane Dillard McCoy (90) passed away and 9 weeks later, March 4, 2021, Lemuel William McCoy (98) was called to join her. They both passed away peacefully at their home in Covington, La.
They are survived by their children, Wimberly Dillard McCoy (Carla) of New Orleans, Ashley Conner McCoy of New Orleans, Kelly Edwards McCoy Land of Mandeville. Loving grandparents of Conner McCoy, Campbell McCoy, Mary Claire McCoy, Turner Land and Mary Jane Land
Mary Jane and Lem had a love affair that was inspirational and everlasting. They were devoted to each other and their family. Known for their kindness and opening their arms and home to all, they had an extraordinary way of touching the hearts of many and were a true joy to be around. Most notable was their endless love for each other. They will be deeply missed by all.
A memorial celebrating Mary Jane and Lem will be held Saturday, April 10th at Covington Presbyterian Church 222 South Jefferson Avenue, Covington, LA. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm followed by a service at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covington Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden.
