Mary Therese Higgins Carey's Obituary
Mary “Tressie” Higgins Carey passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at age 79.
Beloved wife of the late James Charles Carey. Loving mother of Nancy Carey Simeon (Rick) and James C. “Chuck” Carey, Jr. (Laurie). Grandmother of Katie and Mollie Carey, Mike, Jim and Lauren Simeon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine O’Donnell Higgins and John V.P. Higgins; her aunt Alice Higgins Clark; and her siblings, Catherine Mayer, Alice Dykes, Helen Bell, Margaret Tufts, A.B. Clark, O’Brien Clark, John Higgins and William Higgins.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, May 6, 2011at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Friday from 10:00 AM until Mass time.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Carey be made to St. Peter Catholic Church.
