Mary Anne Maumus Hicks' Obituary
Mary Anne Maumus Hicks passed away on July 31, 2014 in Covington, LA. She was born on September 3, 1944 in New Orleans, LA to the late Charles Hackney Maumus and Ruth Bickham Maumus.
Mary is survived by her son, Ralph Lee Hicks, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca Brenner Hicks. She will be dearly missed by her two grandsons, Kenton Charles and Carson Grant, who called her "Mimi". Mary was the sister of Charlotte Maumus Schully Coe of New Orleans and Charles Albert Maumus II of Franklin, TN. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Judith and Jeffrey Doussan, Ellen and Barry Schully, Mary Anne and Matthew Voelkel, Christopher Schully, Sharon and Charles Maumus, Mary Ryland Maumus, and Charlotte Maumus.
Mary had an infectious personality, a beautiful smile, and a loving spirit. Those who knew her enjoyed her positive outlook and her wonderful sense of humor. She dearly loved her family and friends and will truly be missed by all.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at 11:00 AM with Visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
