Mary Eileen Gillies Hebert's Obituary
Mary Eileen Gillies Hebert, native of Preston, England and a resident of Mandeville, LA for 39 years, was welcomed into the loving arms of our heavenly Father on Thursday, March 16, 2006 in Mandeville. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband David, daughters Lorraine Hebert of Diamondhead, MS, Sr. Elizabeth Hebert, SLW of Gretna, LA and son John Hebert and wife Elizabeth of Mandeville, LA; grandchildren Elizabeth Osborne of Hurricane, WV, Tim Hebert of Gulfport, MS, Shelley Hebert of Starkville, MS, Mollie Smith of New Zealand, Madelyn Hebert of Baton Rouge, LA, Margaret Robertson of Atlanta, GA; Great-grandchildren Corynn, Joseph and Ana Hebert, Abigail and Rebecca Osborne and Pace Robertson. Sister of Eddie Gillies and wife Margaret of Preston, England and Joan Addison and husband Frank of Preston, England. Also survived by Brother-in-law Edwin Hebert and wife Marie and sisters-in-law Cecile Butcher, Helen Fortier, Jeanne Bernard and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ellen Gillies and son-in-law Alton Hebert. Aged 79 years. Mrs. Hebert was a former director of Our Lady of The Lake CCD Program and recipient of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Order of St. Louis Medallion award. Visitation on Saturday, March 18, 2006 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church 316 Lafitte St. Mandeville, LA a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. On Monday, March 20, 2006, a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Madelene Church in Abbeville, LA at 2:00 PM, with a Rosary at 1:30 PM. Interment at Hebert Family Cemetery Abbeville, LA. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to Sisters of The Living Word 800 N. Fernandez Ave.-B, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Special thanks to Lynne Nix. E.J.
