Mary Frankie Steib Davis' Obituary
Mary Frankie Steib Davis, a native of Grosse Tete, LA, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of 62 years to the late Dr. John Jennings Davis, Jr. Loving mother of Jacqueline Davis, Joan Davis, Sandra Quilio, John Davis III, (wife, Faye) Sylvia Davis, Susan Wyrick (husband, Kevin) and Michael Davis (wife, Karen). Daughter of the late Valerie Steib. Grandmother of Joseph Quilio (wife, Melissa), Ann Quilio Zainey (husband, Scott), Jennifer Wyrick Dandison (husband, Andrew), Stephen Wyrick, Jillian Davis, Cassie Davis, Kaitlin Davis and Mallory Davis. Also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Davis received her Nursing Degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She was a resident of New Orleans from 1948 until 1967, she then lived in Meridian, MS from 1967 until 2004 and retired with her husband to Mandeville, LA. The family would like to thank St. Tammany Parish Hospital Hospice and our wonderful CNAs who lovingly cared for our mother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:30 AM with visitation at church on Saturday beginning at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow in Mandeville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Davis to be made to St. Tammany Parish Hospital Hospice.
