Mary Cantey DeLatte's Obituary
Mary Cantey DeLatte passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her home in Abita Springs, LA. She was born on September 5, 1941 in New Orleans, LA to Edward Cantey, Jr. and Frances May Blanchard.
Mary was married to her beloved husband, the late Dennis Leo DeLatte, for 35 years. She was the loving mother of Tim DeLatte (wife Sarah) and Mark DeLatte (wife Dana). Mary was the proud grandmother of Charlotte and Isabelle. She was the sister of Edward Cantey, III. (wife Karen) and Mercedes LaCoste (husband Milton).
Mary was a meticulous, patient, artistic and fiercely independent woman, who was always “getting ready, to get ready”. Most of all, she loved God and cherished every opportunity to allow His love to shine through her. “God knows every hair on your head and he loves you warts and all.” - Mary DeLatte
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
