From the family of Hup and Margaret Damaré
Two of the biggest things that we remember about our Aunt Mary Elizabeth:
* First- How important her family was to her, and how very special and loved she made you feel. Telling you how much she loved seeing you and talking with you; and how she felt just like you were one of her own children. We also recall one of our cousins saying that she had such a good model of motherhood in Aunt Mary Elizabeth that she wasn’t concerned about her own abilities as she started her family… incredible praise from your own child.
* Second- How important her Catholic faith was to her. How much she cherished her trips to holy places, shrines, and churches. How happy and moved she was, that among all the incredible accomplishments of her various children & grandchildren, one had felt called by God to serve as a priest.
We honor the memory of our Aunt with a gift to the Notre Dame Seminary, a memorial Mass; and send our prayers and condolences to our cousins and families.
