Mary Dickson Callaway's Obituary
Mary Louise Dickson Callaway, 94, died Saturday, September 16, 2006. She was a native of Arkadelphia, AR, former resident of Monroe, LA, and currently resided in Covington, LA.
She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star (Pueblo, CO), Missouri Pacific Women’s Club, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a retired nurse and a member of Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church where she served on various boards in different capacities.
She was preceded in death by her husband Foy Eugene Callaway, son Dr. Charles Larry Callaway, and brother Howard Dickson. Survivors include her daughter, Jean & husband Harold Hanson of Covington, LA; daughter-in-law, Irene Callaway of Grand Rapids, MI, Grandsons Robert & wife Amy Callaway, Douglas & wife Patty Callaway, Richard & wife Diane Callaway and John Callaway all of Grand Rapids, MI, five great grandchildren; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Thursday September 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arkadelphia, AR under the direction of Ruggles- Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia, AR. Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Memorials may be made to Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church. “How fortunate we are that in our hearts we keep forever the memories of those we love and the time we shared together.”
