Mary “Elaine” Atwood Bonano passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011.
Beloved wife of Ferdinand J. Bonano. Mother of Donald J. Bonano, Sr.(Melissa) , Kenneth M. Bonano, Sr. (Elizabeth), Marylynne Bonano Hughes (Sean), Lori Bonano Maestri (Gary), Mary Danielle Bonano and Jonathan A. Bonano (Michelle). Grandmother of Donald, Jr., Desiree, Nicole, Melissa, Daniel, Anthony, Charlie, Kimberly, Kathryn, Kenny, Cory, Erin, Gary, Jr., Gavin, Grace, Elijah and Sofia. Daughter of the late Douglas and Imelda Atwood.
Age 73 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 37 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 W. 19th Ave. Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, May 13 from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311or to Associated Catholic Charities, 4718 Gilbert St., New Orleans, LA 70129.
