Mary Forbes Blythe's Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we share the sudden passing of Mary Forbes Blythe on Thursday, August 10, 2023, in Madisonville, Louisiana, at the age of 67. Mary was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on March 27, 1956.
Mary had a smile that lit up a room, a contagious laugh, and a personality that brought joy to many people. No matter who she spoke to, especially children, she won their hearts and was able to relate to everyone. This was apparent in the love of the children she taught and cared for. Her magnetic personality drew people to want to know her more. Her artistic side was very apparent. She loved to make beautiful things and enjoyed nature. She stopped to smell the flowers, picked up dragonflies, and loved her family even more.
Mary was the beloved mother of two beautiful daughters and son-in-laws, Aimee Blythe Langlinais Prudhomme (Matthew Prudhomme) and Jennifer Lauren Langlinais Rueda-Liy (Carlos Rueda-Liy), and their father, Brian James Langlinais.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Innerarity “Rudy” Blythe and Anne Worthington Elder, both of whom she loved dearly, her grandparents, Joseph Alfred Blythe and Audley d’Armas “Mom” Ducros, and grandparents William Henry Elder and Henrietta Louise McMillan “Honey" Elder, and brother-in-law, Michael “Mike” Peter Brooks.
She was survived by a sister, Anne Blythe Brooks, a brother, John Innerarity “Skip” Blythe, a sister, Audley Blythe Loewen and brother-in-law, Charles Randall “Randy” Loewen, a sister, Susan Blythe Williams and brother-in-law, Mark Lyn Williams, a sister, Cynthia “Cindy” Blythe Trudeau, a brother, Robert McMillan “Mac” Blythe and sister-in-law, Linda Reilly Blythe.
Mary left behind numerous nieces and nephews. She loved them all more than anyone could ever know.
