Mary Patton Aycock's Obituary
Mary Patton Aycock passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009.
Beloved mother of Lynda R. Aycock, Lester C. Aycock, Jr., Robert E. Aycock, Suzanne A. "Cookie" Lafourcade and Michael P. Aycock; grandmother of two; and sister to Joan P. Comeaux and Frank H. Patton, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Charles Aycock, Sr.; a daughter, Mary Emma Aycock; her mother, Cynthia Ruth Sanders Patton; her father, Frank Howard Patton, Sr.; a sister, Cynthia Patton; and a brother, William Patton.
Age 86 years, she was a native of Meridian, MS and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 8 years. Mary was a long time resident of New Orleans, LA. where she was a member of the New Orleans Geological Auxiliary. She will be remembered for her zest for fashion and travel. She belonged to several volunteer organizations in Baton Rouge, LA. Mary loved to take daily power walks, prepare the altar for Mass and sing to fellow residents at Wynwood of Mandeville.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in Baton Rouge, LA at a later date.
