Martha Lee Young Reese's Obituary
Martha Young Reese began her journey on May 14, 1936. She departed this earth and entered her heavenly home on February 4, 2021 where she knew she would meet her Lord and Savior.
She was married to Robert Charles Reese, Sr. for 67 years.
She is survived by her husband and four children; Robert Reese, Jr. (Judy), Kathy Dorazio (Gary), Laurie Barousse (Danny), and Bonnie Holby (John). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Lee Young and Lydia Jeanne O’Brien Young.
Martha attended St. Joseph’s Academy and graduated from John McDonough High. She was passionate about gardening, camping, sewing, cooking, and entertaining and most of all she was passionate about being a wife, a mother and a mawmaw. The love of her children and family carried over to her daycare that she owned and operated called “Carpet Critters”. She still remained close with many of the children and parents from her daycare.
She was a true New Orleans lady who always lit up the room with her beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humor. She was the life of the party who will be sadly missed by anyone who was ever blessed enough to have known her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM.
