Marshall Carl Duplechin's Obituary
Marshall Carl Duplechin, at the age of 59, entered eternal rest peacefully on Friday evening, October 27, 2023, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Eunice, Louisiana, on October 30, 1963, to Vernon Duplechin and Lou Francois Duplechin.
He is survived by his adoring children Michael Duplechin (Alaina Sittig), David Duplechin (Daneille Duplechin), Tyler Duplechin, and Jenni Savoie. Marshall was the proud grandfather of Cailey Duplechin, Madison Duplechin, Aubrey Duplechin, Averie Duplechin & Bentley Duplechin, and he also survived by his loving mother Lou Francois Duplechin. He was a caring sibling of Randy Duplechin, Donna Duplechin, Andrus Duplechin, Ronald Duplechin, and Chris Francois. Marshall will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
Marshall was preceded in death by his father Vernon Duplechin.
A native of Eunice, and proud resident of Covington for over 22 years, Marshall graduated from Eunice High School in 1982. He was an outstanding Store Manager for Delchamps, Wal-Mart and Sav-A-Center grocery stores for 25 years.
Marshall was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. He enjoyed drinking coffee on his back porch, cooking, and watching football. However, his true passion was spending time with his loving family and friends. Marshall was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His jovial spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow services in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana 70433.
