Marsha Simpson Guidry's Obituary
Marsha Simpson Guidry passed away peacefully on June 10, 2018 in Slidell, LA. She was born on April 2, 1969 in Port Sulphur, LA and raised by loving parents, Marty and Terri Taillon.
Marsha was married to her beloved husband, Leroy Joseph Guidry, for 20 years. She was the loving mother of Rusty Guidry (Colleen). She was the proud grandmother of Kaylee Guidry, Lindsey Guidry, and Emily Guidry. Marsha was the sister of Shannon Eugene Simpson (Wendy). She was also the sister-in-law of Kellie Ferand (Kenny), and Norman Guidry (Sue). Marsha was the devoted aunt of Chance Simpson, Chase Simpson, Mira Simpson, Nicole Ferand, Amanda Garber, Zak Ferand, Rhett Guidry, and Reece Guidry. Marsha was proud to be the granddaughter of Napoleon Taillon and part of his amazing family. She will be dearly missed by her Calvary Baptist Church family and all who knew and loved her.
Marsha was highly favored by God and used her heavenly gift of music to serve him. Her happiest days were spent as a pre-k teacher at Calvary Baptist School and caring for her friends and family. Recently, she was happily employed by Amstate Insurance in Slidell.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at Calvary Baptist Church, 1615 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, LA 70458 on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Slidell, LA, (985) 643-6957.
