I had met Marne a few times at Barnes and Noble conferences, just passing in the hall or at the airports. After Katrina, I went into the Mandeville store and when Marne saw me she gave me the biggest hug. It caught me by surprise and brought tears to my eyes. I always remember that moment when I think of her. Thanks Marne!!

Marne and I shared many Cancer support stories...Mine was minor and hers was not. I always admired her courage and stamina to fight this battle. Now I am happy that she is a peace. Our family has been so blessed by having Marne in our lives. Marne was such a great role model for our daughter Olivia to look up to. She was a strong, courageous and loving woman. I truly enjoyed seeing the love her and Olivia shared together. Olivia called her Aunt Marne, but she was way more than that to her, she was her grandmother. Marne, we love you and cant thank you enough for loving Angie and Olivia the way you did. You will forever have a place in our hearts.

Marne was one of my very first friends in kindergarten at Green Valley School... we loved swinging on the swings and one of my favorite memories is her pigtails flying behind her as we enjoyed... She was a true friend to all and will surely be missed by her family and friends 😘 I feel sooo blessed that we had our reconnect in October and were able to enjoy a great day with tons of funny stories and memories of life growing up in Lombard....
