Marlene Joan Dain's Obituary
Marlene “Joan” (Gayford) Dain, aged 79, of Covington, Louisiana died peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in her home after a struggle with cancer.
Joan was born October 17, 1938, in Fillmore, New York, a daughter of Edmund & Frances Gayford. On August 4th, 1962, she married the love of her life, Daniel W. Dain Sr. who survives.
Joan is a graduate of Fillmore Central High School. She was a devoted Wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her Husband Daniel W. Dain Sr. of Covington, LA; her Children, son Daniel (Katherine) Dain, Jr. of Texas, Daughter Debbie (Gil) Lhotka of Louisiana; Granddaughters Whitney Gordon (Morgan) of Texas, Kimberlynne Dain of Texas, Grandson Spencer (Ashley) Federspiel of Texas. She has 2 great-grandchildren Chasity and McKinlee with her 3rd expected.
Joan was preceded in death by her Sister Alice Ann “Judy” Bentley, she is survived by her Brother Jim (Carolyn) Gayford and Sister Janet (Don) Thomas as well several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last illness.
