Marlene will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her as a woman filled with love, wisdom, dedication, and faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. Her career for the last 40 years has revolved around child care, and care for them she did. It was her purpose in life. Countless children were lovingly cared for in her home and she was trusted to do so by their parents. When not caring for them full time in her home, she volunteered to do so as well on Sunday mornings with her daughter at Lakeshore Church. Nothing, however, was more important to her than her family. Raising her two children and, when needed, her grandchildren. She and Louis were married for 58 years and made their home a place where their family and her o'kids" (the ones she cared for) were always welcome and loved. Seven years ago, Marlene's life changed dramatically having gone through both a kidney transplant and heart surgery in the same year. After doing so however, she was able to meet and fall in love with her three great granddaughters. Everyone who knew her can truly say that they were blessed and served by Marlene Bilac.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Marlene's life at Lakeshore Church 15261 Brewster RD. Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, February 19,2024, at 6:00 PM with visitation and fellowship following the service.
